Alfa Spider control To drive the Alfa Spider is to experience the unique sensation of pure driving pleasure. The 3.2 JTS V6 version has Alfa Romeo’s Q4 permanent four-wheel drive system as standard, a highly advanced drivetrain ensuring extraordinary dynamic control. A decisive element to be able to exploit the full power of the 260 bhp engine. At the core of the system is a mechanical central differential (an evolved version of the Torsen C), which distributes engine torque between the front and rear wheels depending on driving conditions. In normal driving conditions, the Q4 accords a slight preference to the rear axle (57% torque): a solution fine-tuned by Alfa Romeo engineers to satisfy the most demanding drivers.
